About Me

Bio Statement

Kayla Wenger is a high school art student outside Philadelphia PA. Aspiring to be involved with character design, concept art, and visual development, She is passionate about world building and bringing characters to life. Her art has been featured in numerous art shows around Delaware county including the Darlington Arts center, Garnet Valley's AP Art Show, and Garnet Valley's Celebration of the Arts. When she's not creating she likes to spend her free time doing photography, drumming, hanging with friends, playing videogames, and watching horror movies.

Artist Statement

My art encases a wide range of style from realism pieces to lovable cartoon snapshots. I primarily and most comfortably work digitally, but I work traditionally too. I have always been doodling since I was two years old but didn't start taking it seriously until middle school. That's when I started teaching myself digital art and started working under the radar as a fan art artist. When I decided I wanted to make it a career I started getting heavily involved with art classes in high school. It was always a goal of mine when I started taking art seriously to try and convey an emotion, whether that be through my art or to try and get a reaction out of people. I tend to have themes of horror and over exaggeration in my art and it has been explored through many different styles. In the future I love to imagine myself creating characters, world building, and bringing peoples ideas to life.
